A place of peace and healing ministry

Welcome to the Comox Valley Healing Rooms. Come on in for Healing Prayer.

Who are we?

We are a group of Christian men and women from various churches in the Comox Valley, coming together in unity to pray for others.  We are open to pray for anyone with physical, emotional or spiritual needs in an atmosphere  of peace, safety and support.

We do not counsel or advise, but attempt to hear from the Holy Spirit to guide our prayer.  We are only His vessels as the Holy Spirit pours out His love and healing power.  We Listen, Love and Pray.

Why Healing Rooms?

“Healing Rooms Ministry is founded on Jesus’s commission in the gospel of Mark, Chapter 16 where it says that believers when filled with the Holy Spirit, have authority to pray for healing for themselves and others.
“And these signs will accompany those who believe……in my name they will lay hands on sick people and they will get well.  Mark 16:18(New International Version)

We believe that Jesus’s  ministry of healing continues now  and forever.  Many people are not comfortable attending church to receive prayer.  Jesus healed people not only in the synagoge but also in the marketplace.  Healing Rooms is a marketplace ministry.  We are positioned outside the church walls for increased access for anyone needing prayer and at the same, time, encourage people to connect to a church for  community and follow up support .

What is it like when I show up for prayer?

When you first come in, you will be greeted by a prayer team member acting as the receptionist.  You will be asked to fill out a form indicating your prayer request.  This form is confidential.  Your form will be given to one of the Healing Rooms that has 2 or 3 people praying.  The prayer team will pray over your needs on the form before seeing you.  Once they are ready, the prayer team will let the receptionist know it is time for prayer.  You will stand and one person will take the lead as the others take notes highlighting what God is saying to you in the session and another may be interceding in prayer.  You will share your need and then the prayer time will be  guided by the Holy Spirit. There may be times of silence to hear what God is saying and laying on of hands will be offered, if safe to do so and you give permssion.    Again, we do not counsel or give advice but really want to hear from God’s Spirit on the root issues.  When your prayer time is over, you may be given some scriptures to meditate on and some words that were written that may encourage you from the prayer session. A handout on “How to Keep Your Healing”may be passed out to you.  Your form will be filed in a safe and confidential file cabinet, for future reference if you come again to the Healing Rooms.  We are honoured that you would allow others to pray for you and keep what we have heard, confidential.  Appointment times are usually 20-30 minutes.

One encouraging scripture that you could think on: “Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours”  Mark 11:24
